This edition, the first under the leadership of new director Tricia Tuttle, will see 19 films competing for the prestigious Golden Bear award, with Werner Herzog serving as jury president.

Among the films in competition is Dag Johan Haugerud's 'Dreams', which concludes the Norwegian director's trilogy. Also vying for the Golden Bear are Richard Linklater's 'Blue Moon', starring Ethan Hawke and Margaret Qualley, and Radu Jude's 'Kontinental '25', following his previous win with 'Happy as Lazzaro'. Michel Franco's 'Golden Retriever', featuring Jessica Chastain, and Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani's 'Reflet dans un diamant mort' are also in the running.

Other notable films in competition include Hong Sang-soo's 'What Does That Nature Say to You' and Lucille Hadžihalilović's 'La tour de glace', featuring Marion Cotillard. Léa Doran's 'Ari' is another film to watch out for.

The 75th Berlinale promises a diverse and exciting lineup, with a mix of established and debuting filmmakers. With Werner Herzog at the helm of the jury, the festival is set to award the coveted Golden Bear to one of these exceptional films.
