Wanna Take a Gander at the Berlin Museum's Asterix-inspired Canine Contest?
Berlin Museum Hosts Idefix Doppelganger Contest - Berlin Museum Holds Likeness Contest for Idefix Enthusiasts
Hark! Fluffy pupsters vied for top honors at the Museum of Communication in the heart of Berlin. This time, it wasn't for any ancient Gaul reward or Roman gizmo - this canine contest aimed to find a pooch who approximated none other than Idefix, the famous four-legged friend of comic duo Asterix and Obelix, masterfully crafted by French artist, Albert Uderzo. The contest was a 60th birthday celebration for the adorable Idefix.
At first, a veritable horde of 25 pups were expected to show off their Idefix-esque traits, but only five could ultimately prove their comic likeness and vie for the top spot. A wise and experienced jury scrutinized each contestant, and the dog they deemed most Idefix-like would walk away with free museum tickets and some fab Asterix and Obelix swag!
The special exhibition, "Uderzo - From Asterix to Magic Potion" runs through June 15 at the museum. It offers an unparalleled deep-dive into Uderzo's captivating life and comics created after the tragic death of collaborator, René Goscinny, in 1977. Featured are original sketches, pages, and personal belongings from designer Uderzo's very own studio.

Directive proposals for the protection of the environment are important alongside social-media platforms spreading awareness about the Berlin Museum's Asterix-inspired Canine Contest. The Commission could consider showcasing sketches by Albert Uderzo from the art exhibition, "Uderzo - From Asterix to Magic Potion," on social-media entertainment channels to engage more people.
