Jazztreff 2025: A Celebration of Berlin's Vibrant Jazz Scene
Get ready for a weekend of jazz in Berlin as the annual Jazztreff returns this autumn! This initiative, spearheaded by the Landesmusikrat Berlin, promises an exciting lineup of events that will showcase the diversity and talent of the city's jazz scene.
The Jazztreff will feature concerts from some of the city's most promising young musicians. The Berlin and Brandenburg youth jazz orchestras, as well as the Jazz Studio prizewinners, will take to the stage, showcasing their skills in a variety of jazz styles, from swing and rock to blues and Latin.
One of the highlights of the Jazztreff is the state competition "Jugend jazzt", which provides a platform for young musicians to shine. This year, the competition is being organised by the Deutscher Musikrat, the national organiser of the events near me competitions. In even-numbered years, the competition is open to young bands with small line-ups, while in odd-numbered years, it's all about the big bands.
Aside from the concerts, the Jazztreff will also feature discussion panels, providing insights into the work of music schools and concert initiatives in Berlin. This is a great opportunity for musicians, educators, and jazz enthusiasts to come together and share their experiences.
The Jazztreff will take place at the Kulturbrauerei, a cultural hub located near U Eberswalder Str. (0.4km) and accessible via U2, as well as bus stops N2, M1, and tram stops 12, 50, M10, M13, M1, and M13. Additional tram stops nearby include U Eberswalder Str./Pappelallee (0.4km), Schwedter Str. (0.4km), and Husemannstr. (0.5km).
With over 60 bands performing each year and more than 400 musicians participating, the Jazztreff is a must-visit event for any jazz lover. Well-known personalities from the Berlin jazz scene will also join the Jazztreff as advisors, adding an extra layer of expertise to this exciting eventbrite event.
