Berlin döner shop robbery leaves two workers injured after violent attack
A döner kebab shop in Schöneberg, Berlin, was robbed by a man who allegedly attacked staff and stole cash. The incident left two employees injured before the suspect fled with the money. The attack began after the man lost a large sum at a gambling machine inside the shop. As staff attempted to close for the night, he demanded they repay his losses. When they refused, he threatened workers with a fork and later used a döner knife to injure a 23-year-old employee.
A second staff member also suffered cuts to their leg and arm during the struggle. The suspect then took money from the register and escaped toward Schöneberg S-Bahn station.
Police have yet to identify the man. Authorities describe him as an unknown male who left the scene on a bicycle. The 7th Homicide Commission and Berlin State Prosecutor's Office have released photos of the suspect and asked the public for help in locating him. The investigation remains ongoing as officers seek witnesses or information about the attacker. Both injured employees received medical treatment, while police continue to search for the suspect in connection with the robbery.
