Berlin Announces Massive Fan Mile for FIFA World Cup 2026
Football fans in Berlin can look forward to a familiar experience in 2026. The city has announced plans for a fan mile during the FIFA World Cup, following its successful implementation in previous years. This time, it will stretch from the Brandenburg Gate to the Große Querallee in the Tiergarten district.
The fan mile in Berlin is the largest in Germany, offering an unparalleled atmosphere for fans to cheer on their teams together. It will feature five large screens for watching games, with the main screen positioned in front of the iconic Brandenburg Gate. Access to the fan mile will be facilitated through four entrances and exits, located at the Victory Column, Yitzhak Rabin Street, and Pariser Plaza.
In contrast, the 2025 Women's European Championship will not have a central fan mile in Berlin. However, numerous public viewing spots will be available for fans to enjoy the matches. For the UEFA EURO 2024, Dortmund hosted a public viewing at Friedensplatz and Westfalenpark. No German city has been confirmed for a Fan Mile in 2025 yet.
Fans attending the 2026 FIFA World Cup fan mile in Berlin should note that prohibited items include weapons, alcohol, and large bags. The fan mile promises an exciting and inclusive experience for all football enthusiasts, bringing the spirit of the game to life in the heart of the city.
