Ransom Canyon, the popular romantic Western drama, is gearing up for its second season, and some familiar faces are joining the cast. Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly, who starred in the first season, will once again bring their characters to life in the upcoming episodes. The show is an adaptation of Jodi Thomas' books and is filmed at Netflix Studios Albuquerque in New Mexico, where season one was based. The showrunner for the second season is April Blair, who is known for her work on shows like The CW's Riverdale. Ben Robson, known for his roles in Animal Kingdom, Vikings, The Continental, and the upcoming Fox series The Faithful, is also joining the cast as a recurring guest star. Heidi Engerman, who has been seen in Chicago Fire, 9-1-1 Nashville, The Bold and the Beautiful, and is currently in post-production for the film ... The lives and legacies of the characters in Ransom Canyon are once again threatened by outside forces intent on destroying their way of life. Ransom Canyon is a show about three Texas Hill Country ranching family dynasties in a contest for control of the land. In addition to Duhamel, Kelly, Robson, and Engerman, Lizzy Greene, Garrett Wareing, Jack Schumacher, Marianly Tejada, and Casey W. Johnson are also stars in the second season. Dan Angel, Josh Duhamel, Minka Kelly, and Bradley Gardner are executive producers for the second season. Filming for the new season is currently underway.
