That dynamic individual is none other than Ben "Bomber" Griffin, who stormed into the limelight after capturing the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in April. Almost like clockwork, he followed that victory with a dominating performance at the Charles Schwab Challenge, making him one of only four players to secure multiple wins this year.

Apart from his Maxfli partnership, Griffin is synonymous with the aviator-style sunglasses he sports on the course. Unlike most of his peers, he sports these shades due to a rather serious visual issue that surfaced in 2024.
In an interview held at the Memorial Tournament at the end of May, Griffin apologetically shared his ordeal, "I'm pretty much blind, so around a year ago is when I started seeing floaters. After consulting with an ophthalmologist, I discovered my retina was trying to detach, leaving me with a dire need for surgery to avoid losing my vision completely."
"Since the surgery, I've managed to maintain my vision, but I still see floaters persistently. When I wear sunglasses, it helps reduce the nagging floaters. So during bright days, I have to wear them to protect my eyes and keep my vision clear," he added.
