After a 14-year hiatus, the beloved BBC comedy series "Twenty Twenty Six" is making its grand return to screens next year, airing on both BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Originally aired on BBC Four and later on BBC Two, the series is a hilarious spin on the London 2012 Olympics, set to take a new turn this time around in the vibrant city of Miami.

Hugh Bonneville will reprise his role as Ian Fletcher, with Hugh Skinner returning as Will Humphries, who was previously Ian's PA. Will Humphries is back to assist Ian once again in the upcoming series.

Speaking about his return, Hugh Skinner expressed his excitement, stating, "I'm thrilled to be having another go as Will Humphries."

The original cast of "Twenty Twenty Six" includes a host of talented actors such as Amelia Bullmore, Olivia Colman, Vincent Franklin, Jessica Hynes, Karl Theobald, Morven Christie, Samuel Barnett, Alex Beckett, Joel Fry, and Sara Pascoe. Alongside Bonneville and Skinner, the series will also feature Amy Forsyth and Ade Edmondson.

The series has attracted a number of new faces as well, with EastEnders' Nicole Sadie Sawyerr, Sex Education's Joe Heweston, Blitz's Erin Kellyman, and Everything I Know About Love's Marli Siu joining the cast.

John Morton, the creator of "Twenty Twenty Six," is equally thrilled to be working on the series again. The comedy series has won numerous awards over the years, including the Best TV Sitcom at the 2011 British Comedy Awards.

Notably, Olivia Colman won Best Female Performance in a Comedy Programme at the BAFTA TV Award for her role in "Twenty Twenty Six."

David Tennant will narrate the program, adding an extra layer of excitement to the much-anticipated return of "Twenty Twenty Six." The BBC's press release mentions that the next year's football tournament will be the biggest ever, promising a grand backdrop for the comedy series.

Nerys Evans, the Creative Director of Expectation's Creative Director, Scripted, is collaborating on "Twenty Twenty Six," ensuring a continuation of the series' comedic brilliance.

As the countdown to the return of "Twenty Twenty Six" begins, fans of the series are eagerly waiting to see how the new setting in Miami will bring fresh twists to the beloved characters and stories.
