Bella Thorne has completed production on her feature directorial debut, 'Color Your Hurt', a coming-of-age thriller based on her 2024 short film 'Unsettled'. The film follows a young gay man's struggle for self-acceptance in a hostile community, with actor Jason Parks drawing from his own experiences.
Thorne, who also wrote and produced 'Color Your Hurt', expressed excitement about working with the cast, which includes Christopher Eccleston, Tammy Blanchard, Gideon Glick, Jordan Alexander, and Tom Pecinka, among others. The film is produced by Thorne alongside Paul Kim, Landon South, and Lois S. Kibbee, with Mark Emms also serving as a producer.
'Color Your Hurt' is based on the short film 'Unsettled', which premiered at Palm Springs ShortsFest and won Best Rising Director at HollyShorts. The feature film's cast also includes Linus Roache, Dylan Baker, and Colin Bates.
