Belarus Tops International Rowing Event at Renovated Russian Base
The recently renovated 'Olympic' rowing base in Primorsky Krai, Russia, hosted an international competition. The event, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the local Canoe and Kayak Federation, attracted national teams and foreign guests who praised the high level of organization and hospitality.
The base, following a comprehensive renovation costing almost 430 million rubles as part of the national 'Sports' project, can accommodate up to 90 athletes and coaches. This allowed national teams to train and compete at the highest level, with international standard water markings and modern systems in place.
The competition saw the Republic of Belarus team take first place in the unofficial team standings, followed by the Primorsky Krai team in second, and Moscow guests in third. Athletes, including Ralph Adrian Buan from the Philippines who won a silver medal, emphasized the importance of sport remaining apolitical and serving peace and friendship.
The rowing event in Primorsky Krai was a success, with participants praising the facilities and organization. The Belarusian team's consistent podium finishes and Ralph Adrian Buan's silver medal highlight the competition's high standards.
