Belarus to Enjoy Warm Weekend as Temperatures Rise to +17°C
Belarus is set for a warm weekend, with temperatures expected to rise significantly on Saturday, October 4th. Meteorologists have announced that most of the country will experience above-normal temperatures, with the threat of night frosts decreasing.
An anticyclone has been influencing Belarus, but it will shift eastward by the weekend, allowing southern weather systems to bring warmer weather. On Saturday, temperatures could reach up to +9°C to +15°C, and even up to +17°C in the southeast. This is a significant increase from the +5°C to +10°C expected on Thursday and Friday.
The warmth will continue into next week, from October 6th to 12th, as usual western air mass transport resumes. This will bring moderately warm windy weather and precipitation. The average temperature for this period may be above the climatic norm, according to the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). On Sunday, October 5th, a deep Atlantic weather system over southern Scandinavia will strengthen the movement of oceanic warmth.
Belarus can look forward to a warmer weekend and next week, with temperatures expected to rise significantly. While the exact cause of this warm spell is complex, it is clear that the shift of the anticyclone and the influence of southern weather systems will bring much-needed warmth to the country.
