Belarus braces for cooler nights and morning fog on March 19

Belarus will see partly cloudy skies on March 19, with mostly dry weather across the country. Conditions will shift from the milder, unsettled pattern of recent days to cooler nights and patchy fog.

Before this change, temperatures from March 15 to 18 stayed mild, hovering between 5°C and 12°C in Minsk and nearby areas. Skies were overcast, with occasional showers and brisk southwesterly winds. Light sleet even fell on the 17th and 18th.

By the 19th, winds will turn light and variable. Overnight lows will drop sharply, ranging from 0 to -5°C in most places, though some western regions may stay just above freezing at +1 to +3°C. Morning fog could develop, and icy patches may form on roads, particularly in central and eastern areas. Daytime highs will climb to a more comfortable +8 to +14°C. Despite the chillier start, the day itself should remain dry under partly cloudy skies.

The forecast marks a shift from recent mild, wet weather to cooler nights and clearer days. Drivers should stay cautious of possible fog and icy roads in the morning. Afternoon temperatures will offer a brief return to milder conditions.
