Belarus Bans LLC 'RPK' Products Over Safety Concerns
Belarus has prohibited several products from the Russian company LLC 'RPK' due to safety concerns. The move comes after an investigation by Belarusian GOSSTANDART, which found substandard frozen vegetable mixes and an unsafe beverage.
GOSSTANDART discovered a new batch of substandard frozen vegetable mixes from LLC 'RPK' in Saint Petersburg. The affected products include the '7 Vegetable' and 'Mexican' mixes under the 'Our Harvest' brand. These mixes have been prohibited from sale in Belarus since October 15.
In addition, a beer-based beverage, 'Gin & Tonic' with 'Lemon-Lime' flavor produced by the same company, has also been banned. The drink contains an unacceptable level of benzoic acid, a food additive, at 105.2 mg/kg. This exceeds the norm by over 40 times. The manufacturer of this drink is also LLC 'RPK'.
These products have been removed from sale in Belarus due to safety concerns. Consumers are advised to check their purchases and avoid these specific products. Belarusian authorities are working to ensure the safety of food and drinks within their borders.
