After a successful loan spell at Hamburger SV (HSV) last season, Czech midfielder Adam Karabec is set to re-join the club on a one-year loan deal, following a contract extension with his parent club, Sparta Prague.

Karabec, who made 24 starts in the 2. Bundesliga last season, scoring three goals and providing seven assists, has expressed his desire to remain at HSV. However, the loan deal will not include the €4.2 million purchase option that was part of his previous loan agreement, as Hamburg declined to activate it last season.

HSV have strengthened their midfield with other signings but still see Karabec as a valuable attacking midfield option or winger. The Hanseatic League club, which recently secured Yussuf Poulsen from RB Leipzig, will be welcoming Karabec as their sixth summer addition.

Coach Merlin Polzin praises Karabec's potential and cooperation, stating that he fits perfectly with the team. He believes that Karabec's return could be an important building block for staying in the Bundesliga. Polzin also mentioned that they are considering a renewed collaboration with Karabec in the future.

Karabec's versatility in midfield was evident during his time at HSV, where he was directly involved in ten goals. With his creative impulses, he could play a significant role in HSV's game construction this season.

It is worth noting that Sparta Prague has not yet found a buyer for Karabec, and his contract with the Czech club has been extended until 2027. This means that if a permanent transfer does not materialise, Karabec could potentially continue to be loaned out to HSV in the future.

In summary, Adam Karabec's upcoming loan to Hamburger SV is a strategic move for both clubs, with Karabec eager to return and HSV keen on maintaining his services for the upcoming season. The Hanseatic League is counting on Karabec to drive their sporting development in the Bundesliga forward.

Karabec, who expressed his intention to stay at HSV, could contribute significantly to their midfield or winger positions, given his role in ten goals during his previous stint with the club. With his contract extended at Sparta Prague until 2027, there's a possibility that Karabec might continue to be loaned to HSV in the future if a permanent transfer does not transpire.
