Becker seeks to drop charges against Oliver Pocher.

In a significant turn of events, three-time Wimbledon champion Boris Becker has emerged victorious in a long-standing legal dispute against comedian Oliver Pocher. The judgment, initially handed down by the Higher Regional Court of Karlsruhe in November 2023, has now become final and binding, following the confirmation from the Federal Court of Justice (BGH) in Karlsruhe.

The dispute revolved around images from Pocher's RTL show, "Pocher - dangerously honest." According to the first instance, it was evident that Becker received a three-digit euro amount, hidden in a supposed fashion prize awarded to him in the show.

Following the initial ruling, Pocher had intended to appeal the decision to the BGH. However, his appeal was not granted, and his subsequent appeal against the refusal was also rejected. This leaves Becker's legal avenues in this matter exhausted, according to his lawyer, Samy Hammad from Offenburg.

Pocher was subsequently prohibited from distributing the controversial image sequences further and had to delete relevant film clips from his own internet presence. Despite attempts to rally support through a fundraising appeal under the slogan "Make Boris rich again" during his controversial show, Pocher's legal battles in this case have come to an end.

Pocher's lawyer, Patricia Cronemeyer, who had previously represented him in this matter, was initially not available for a statement. However, no information about a replacement or new lawyer taking over has been made available in the available sources.

Hammad stated that Becker's legal opinion has ultimately been confirmed, although no specific details about the images or the nature of the dispute were provided in the paragraphs. It is worth noting that neither Becker nor Pocher were present in court at the time of the ruling.

This legal victory for Becker marks a significant milestone in his post-tennis career, further underscoring his impact and influence beyond the tennis court. As the dust settles on this legal dispute, it remains to be seen what the future holds for both parties.
