Fan Club from Velbert Enjoys Unforgettable Weekend in Munich

A group of dedicated fans from the fan club 'Freundeskreis Schloßstadt Velbert' had an unforgettable weekend in Munich, thanks to an invitation from the Kurt Landauer Foundation and FC Bayern Munich.

The highlight of the trip was the ceremonial unveiling of the Franz Beckenbauer statue in front of the Allianz Arena. The fans were thrilled to attend this historic event, which was also attended by numerous football legends and members of the 'Kaiser's' family.

The invitation was a recognition of the fan club's donations to a gift from the fans to their club. The group had contributed to a special project, and their effort was greatly appreciated by the organisers.

The Kurt Landauer Foundation, named after the Jewish president of FC Bayern Munich in the 1920s, supports social projects and remembers the Jewish roots of the club. Kurt Landauer was president of the club from 1913 to 1914, 1919 to 1933, and again from 1947 to 1951. He played a key role in the club's growth and rebuilding after the Nazi era.

During the weekend, the fans also attended the football match between Bayern Munich and Hamburger SV. The result was a clear victory for Bayern Munich (5-0). The fans reported the event as an evening full of exciting conversations with football heroes.

Other members and friends of the Velbert friend circle also travelled to Munich for the game. Udo Herrmann, Kurt Bartl, and Jörg Heeren were the members of the fan club who attended the event.
