The "DSDS" panel is now complete! Dieter Bohlen (69), Pietro Lombardi (31), pop sensation Beatrice Egli (35), and rapper Loredana (28) have been confirmed as the jury for the 21st season of "Deutschland sucht den Superstar." This exciting news was shared by RTL via an Instagram post and press release.
The diverse musical backgrounds of the jury members are united by their Swiss origins. Beatrice Egli, grateful for the platform "DSDS" provided for her burgeoning career, is eager to help discover the next rising star. Meanwhile, Loredana, who credits music for instilling a belief in self-determination, values "DSDS" as an ideal launchpad for aspiring musicians.
Pietro Lombardi, an old acquaintance of both Beatrice Egli and Loredana, spoke highly of their addition to the jury, commenting on their significant achievements and industry insights. RTL Program Director Inga Leschek commended the new recruits, praising Beatrice Egli's impact on modern pop music and Loredana's status as a popular German rapper.
Besides these new faces, the 21st season of "DSDS" will bring a notable change: there will no longer be an age limit for participants, welcoming individuals over 30. Dieter Bohlen, longtime advocate for this adjustment, is thrilled about the opportunity it affords for those who hesitated to apply in their youth or discovered their talent later in life.
The casting tour kicks off in Cologne on December 16, but a specific broadcast date for the new episodes has not been disclosed yet. The episodes typically premiere in January, however, Dieter Bohlen hinted at a later debut this year.
