BCB Bolsters Coaching Staff Ahead of Ireland Series, Boosts Female Cricketers' Pay
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has bolstered its coaching staff ahead of the Ireland series. Mohammad Ashraful has been named as the new specialist batting coach, while Abdur Razzak takes on the role of team director. Meanwhile, the board has also improved financial support for female cricketers.
Ashraful, a former Bangladesh captain, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He has completed level-3 coaching certification and has previously guided Barishal in the National Cricket League. The BCB hopes his expertise will help strengthen the team's batting line-up.
Razzak, who has served as a bowling coach in the past, will now oversee the team's overall performance during the Ireland series. The BCB has not disclosed the current batting coach's status for this series.
In addition to these coaching changes, the BCB has increased daily allowances for female cricketers to 75 USD per day during series or tours, up from the previous 50 USD. Furthermore, their salaries have been raised by 50%. These moves aim to improve the support and compensation for Bangladesh's female cricketers.
