BBC iPlayer Drops EastEnders - Reasons for Soap's Disappearance from the Platform
In the world of EastEnders, drama is never in short supply. This week, the soap opera welcomes a new executive producer, Ben Wadey, as he takes over from Chris Clenshaw. Ben has announced that Monday's episode marks the start of big changes in Walford, promising twists, shocks, and plenty of drama for a summer that viewers won't want to miss.
Meanwhile, Joel Marshall, a character known for his questionable antics, continues to stir up trouble. He shows Tommy Moon a video by a social media influencer who makes derogatory comments about women. In a bid to further manipulate Tommy, Joel asks him to video him on his phone while catching the tube. Whether Tommy complies remains to be seen.
There's also speculation about a big character comeback in tonight's episode. Zoe Slater and Max Branning have been mentioned in the press, but the details are being kept tightly under wraps. The EastEnders social media team has added posts suggesting quick appearances of characters in Walford with the caption "Blink and you'll miss it."
Elsewhere, Jean Slater is out for revenge after seeing the press coverage of Kat, Alfie, and Harvey's business. She takes action to try and sabotage their limo business.
Unfortunately for Isla, she finds herself in an uncomfortable situation with Joel. He pretends to fall on her, inappropriately touching her in the process. Whether she reports the incident to the station staff is yet to be seen.
In other news, fans will have to wait for the episode to air on BBC One at 7.30 pm this evening. EastEnders usually airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One and from 6am on BBC iPlayer, but tonight's episode is produced by Ben Wadey and will not be available on iPlayer early at 6 am.
Jean is also furious when a newspaper article incorrectly refers to Harvey's new girlfriend, Kathy Beale, as 'Mrs Monroe'. This error adds to the drama surrounding the relationship, which has already been fraught with complications.
As the summer unfolds, it seems that EastEnders is gearing up for a series of exciting developments. Fans are encouraged to subscribe to the website's newsletter for the latest updates on the soap opera. With Ben Wadey at the helm, it's sure to be a summer full of surprises.
