Bayern Munich vs Hoffenheim: Predictions

Bayern Munich have reclaimed their throne in 2024/25, after finishing third the previous season.

Having wrapped up the Bundesliga title earlier this month, following Bayer Leverkusen's 2-2 draw with Freiburg, the Bavarians proved their resilience and fighting spirit.

With last weekend's 2-0 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach at the Allianz Arena, the champions celebrated in style on the pitch.

Faced with competition from Leverkusen and their defending title, Bayern have dominated German football for a decade and a half.

Xabi Alonso's squad made a shaky start to the season, but ultimately, they were too strong for their competitors. Since July, they have been on top of the table, with Leverkusen unable to recover from their sluggish start.

Regaining the title for Bayern represents a successful first season for Vincent Kompany, who was not the club's initial choice to succeed Thomas Tuchel.

Though Alonso was their preferred manager last summer, the Leverkusen boss could not be lured to Bayern, leading the club to work their way down the alphabet in their search for a coach. Eventually, Kompany, who had just been relegated with Burnley, was hired, much to the skepticism of many.

Despite his unconventional hiring, Kompany has proved his worth, achieving his first-season objective for Bayern. Expectations will rise for next season, particularly in the Champions League.

With only one league game left in 2024/25 and attention quickly turning towards the Club World Cup and the next season, Kompany shared his thoughts after securing the Bundesliga title:

Will Bayern sign off on a high by beating Hoffenheim on gameweek 34?

Bayern Munich vs Hoffenheim: Betting Tips

In the final round of Bundesliga fixtures this season, Hoffenheim hosts Bayern Munich. With the champions locked and loaded, will they clinch another victory?

Bayern Munich to win and both teams to score

Hoffenheim will be doing all they can to remain in the Bundesliga next season, but they cannot be 100% certain of their place at the top table just yet.

As things stand, Hoffenheim are safe from automatic relegation and currently sit three points clear of the relegation play-off spot. In order to be relegated, they would have to suffer a seven-goal loss and see Heidenheim defeat Werder Bremen.

While Hoffenheim could see their goal difference and opponents both as reasons to be cautious, they might risk taking chances to score and claim the necessary points.

Over 3.5 goals

Typically, Bayern's league matches feature an average of 3.85 goals per game, the highest number among Europe's top leagues. Hoffenheim's competitions, on the other hand, have an average of 3.33 goals per game.

Bayern's attacking play and Hoffenheim's desire to grab goals might pave the way for an open, high-scoring contest.

Thomas Muller to score any time

Thomas Muller is set to play his final Bundesliga match with Bayern Munich this weekend. The club legend, who has given loyal service to the Bavarians, might be in line for a farewell to remember.

Kompany could give Muller a rare start in this final match, and everyone at Bayern will be cheering him on. An emotional send-off could lead to Muller scoring yet again for his beloved team.
