No Premature Kane Exit from Bayern, Confirms Sporting Director
Bayern's sports director firmly denies speculation of an imminent exit for Harry Kane. - Bayern Munich sporting director dismisses speculation of Kane's premature departure.
Christoph Freund, Bayern Munich's Sporting Director, brutally squashed rumors about Harry Kane prematurely ditching the Bavarians. During an interview with Abendzeitung and t-online.de, Freund categorically denied the possibility, stating, "That's not a topic."
Kane, a 100-million-euro striker, landed on Bayern's roster after transferring from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023. His current contract runs until 2027, with a buyout clause attached. The deal includes a clause allowing Kane to walk away each summer for an eye-popping, albeit decreasing, nine-figure sum.
However, despite the tantalizing get-out clause, Kane seems content stress-free in Munich both on and off the pitch. Having won his first major title - the Bundesliga - with Bayern on Sunday, he's reveling in the success. Moreover, Kane's family has taken to the German city like ducks to water.
Freund praised Kane's integration, stating, "He's very respected in the team. He gets along well with everyone. He's very grounded, has acclimated superbly in Munich." The departure of fellow English teammate Eric Dier doesn't seem to have a significant impact on Kane either.
