Before his last home game for FC Bayern, Thomas Müller received a heartfelt farewell. A floral arrangement, a picture, a symbolic Schafkopf card, and a donation to his "Young Wings" foundation were among the gifts presented to the iconic striker by FC Bayern's president Herbert Hainer and the board members [1].

The crowd in the Südkurve at the arena honored the veteran with a giant banner that read, "25 years, everything for our colors!" Singer Jonas Kaufmann performed the club's new anthem live, concluding with, "A thousand thanks, Thomas."

With Bayern, Müller played most of his professional career, and although he did not receive a new contract, he is set to leave Munich this summer. His last home game in the Allianz Arena as a Bayern player was against Borussia Mönchengladbach, coinciding with his 750th career appearance [1].

Coach Vincent Kompany acknowledged the significance of the occasion, stating, "We want to win because it's Thomas Müller's last game in the Allianz Arena and a celebration for everyone. We want the perfect Saturday." The Bayern are set to receive the championship trophy upon Müller's departure. The next Bundesliga matchday is yet to come, followed by the Club World Cup in the USA in June and July [1].

Alongside Müller, defender Eric Dier is also set to depart Bayern this summer, with Monaco reportedly his destination [1]. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Manuel Neuer made a comeback after more than two months of injury and will become the second-oldest Bundesliga player for FC Bayern [1].

As for Müller's next destination, while he has not officially decided, MLS in the United States appears to be the most likely choice [5]. Clubs in England, Turkey, and Italy have shown interest, but no agreements have been reached regarding his post-Bayern career [5].
