Bayern Battles Inter Without Musiala Amid Injury Crisis - Pavlovic Steps Up

- Bayern Munich play Inter Milan without Coman, featuring Pavlovic instead

Hey there! FC Bayern Munich, led by the beaming Thomas Müller, face off against Inter Milan in the Champions League quarterfinals without the agile Kingsley Coman. Coman missed the final training session due to a bothersome foot injury, leaving only the initial 15 minutes for media scrutiny. It's a bummer that Coman, alongside Captain Manuel Neuer and the long-term injured defenders, wasn't present as anticipated.

Excitingly, Aleksandar Pavlovic, the national German powerhouse who was out following a bout with glandular fever, took part in a partial team workout. Pavlovic isn't quite battle-ready for the Tuesday (21:00 CET/Prime Video) matchup, but we can expect to see him soon. The return leg is scheduled for eight days later in Milan.

An intriguing question arises: Müller or Musiala? With Coman absent, Coach Vincent Kompany faces a dilemma when it comes to filling the void left by the injured Jamal Musiala. Musiala, an integral piece of Bayern's offense, will be sidelined for an extended period following a muscle bundle tear.

Müller, the evergreen 35-year-old veteran who'll be saying goodbye to Bayern in the summer, is the most obvious choice to step into Musiala's shoes. Müller showed potential in the 3:1 win against Augsburg, where he replaced Musiala in the 54th minute.

Other viable options include the dynamic Michael Olise, speedy Leroy Sané, versatile Serge Gnabry, or physical Leon Goretzka in the offensive midfield. Goretzka was present at the final training session after overcoming recent back problems. Unfortunately for Coman, he's yet to make a comeback, but he put in some laps before the session, potentially making a return for the Bundesliga classic against Borussia Dortmund this Saturday. Until then, midfielder Pavlovic is working tirelessly to catch up on missed training sessions.

Meanwhile, Bayern's opponent, Inter Milan, is missing some big names, including former Bayern players Yann Sommer and Benjamin Pavard. Coach Kompany continues to grapple with the absences of Dayot Upamecano, Alphonso Davies, and Hiroki Ito in defense.
