Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in advanced talks with Bayern Munich to sign Portuguese midfielder João Palhinha on a loan deal, with an option to buy as part of the agreement.
The news comes from German football record champions "Bild" and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. According to the reports, Bayern Munich is open to letting Palhinha leave, and while they would consider a permanent transfer bid between £20m–£25m, Tottenham is primarily focused on securing a loan move first.
Palhinha, who is 30 years old, joined Bayern Munich last summer for around £47.4 million from Fulham but has struggled with fitness and playing time, making only 25 appearances last season. He has played a total of 17 games in the Bundesliga for the German champions.
