Bayern Munich faces pressure from manager Thomas Tuchel to address their shortcomings following their disappointing loss in the Champions League.

Thomas Tuchel, who departed Bayern Munich after the 2022/23 season, is currently focusing on various football-related activities, including scouting for the England national team and attending Club World Cup matches. Meanwhile, his former team is gearing up for a challenging encounter against Bochum this weekend, under the management of Vincent Kompany.

Currently, Bayern Munich is in second place in the Bundesliga, five points behind leaders Leverkusen. The team's recent performance has been a cause for concern, following a 3-0 loss to Bayer Leverkusen and a 1-0 defeat in the Champions League against Lazio. In an attempt to "turn around the mood" after these disappointing results, Bayern is working diligently to improve their form.

Harry Kane, the top scorer in the Bundesliga this season with 24 goals, has been a key player for Bayern. However, there has been a "discrepancy" between Kane's world-class training performance and his impact in matches, a concern shared by both Kane and Tuchel. Despite this, Kane continues to lead the team as a captain, and everything appears to be okay with him.

Thomas Tuchel expects the match against Bochum to be a hard-fought game, anticipating a physical opponent. Bochum has been in good form recently, winning against Stuttgart and drawing with Augsburg. In the reverse fixture in September, Bayern defeated Bochum 7-0 at the Allianz Arena, with Kane scoring a hat-trick. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Matthijs de Ligt, Leroy Sane, and Mathys Tel also contributed to the impressive victory.

Tuchel does not anticipate a deep, tactically well-organized defensive block from Bochum, but rather an aggressive approach that gets at Bayern high up the pitch and plays long balls. This poses a unique challenge for Bayern, who will need to be at their best to secure a victory and close the gap on Leverkusen.

As the season progresses, Bayern Munich is also looking to strengthen their squad, with efforts underway to replace Kim Min-jae with new defenders. The team's performance in the Club World Cup suggests a positive trajectory under current management, which will be crucial in their quest for the Bundesliga title and Champions League success.

Thomas Tuchel, having left Bayern Munich, is also tracking European leagues for potential signings, with the Champions League in mind. Despite Bayern's recent setbacks, such as their 3-0 loss to Leverkusen and 1-0 loss to Lazio, they still have a chance to clinch the Champions League title, given their performance in the Club World Cup.
