Bayern Munich charmer: Woltemade receives assistance from VfB Stuttgart in courtships
VfB Stuttgart Stands Firm Against Bayern Munich's Bids for Nick Woltemade
In the world of German football, transfer rumours have been swirling around VfB Stuttgart's star striker, Nick Woltemade, and FC Bayern Munich. Despite Bayern's reported interest and at least two bids, Stuttgart remains resolute, refusing to part ways with the 23-year-old this summer.
During the training camp in Rottach-Egern, Woltemade managed to maintain a professional demeanour despite being affected by the transfer rumours. His teammate, national player Deniz Undav, offered words of support, advising Woltemade not to let the speculation distract him from focusing on his performance.
Undav, who had a below-par season last year, emphasised the importance of Woltemade to Stuttgart, both now and in the future. He told Woltemade that the fans are behind him, regardless of whether he stays or leaves the club. Undav, who is happy at Stuttgart and finds it difficult to imagine leaving, is aiming to score in double digits and have many more assists in the new season. Last season, he scored nine goals and three assists in the league.
Despite the financial gap, Woltemade reportedly wants a move to Bayern. However, the transfer has not progressed due to Stuttgart's resistance. The club, which has shown no interest in letting Woltemade go, as he has a contract until 2028, has turned down Bayern's offers, with the latest reportedly worth €60 million. Stuttgart is said to be expecting closer to €65-80 million for Woltemade.
Stuttgart's CEO, Alexander Wehrle, has publicly ruled out Woltemade leaving the club this summer, describing him as a very important player. Bayern, for their part, has reportedly decided to remain firm for now without submitting a third formal bid. However, they are open to talks if Stuttgart approaches them first about the transfer fee, which Stuttgart has not yet done.
Undav, who expresses his love and identification with Stuttgart and its fans, is not planning to leave the club. As the transfer saga continues, Woltemade is expected to continue his professional performance for Stuttgart in the upcoming season.
The community is hopeful that Nick Woltemade will stay with VfB Stuttgart, given his essential role in the team's future. Meanwhile, Woltemade's passion for football extends beyond the pitch, as he shows interest in sports analysis, particularly for football.
