FC Copenhagen and Bayer Leverkusen Draw 2-2 in UEFA Champions League Opener
In a thrilling encounter at FC Copenhagen's Parken Stadium, both teams fought hard in the first matchday of the UEFA Champions League. The Danish side dominated much of the game, but Leverkusen managed to snatch a point at the end.

Pantelis Hatzidiakos unintentionally deflected the ball into his own net for Leverkusen's second equalizer in injury time (2-2).
Despite Copenhagen's dominance, Leverkusen can be satisfied with the draw. FC Copenhagen created several big chances and had the Bundesliga team almost under control. Robert scored for FC Copenhagen five minutes after Leverkusen's goal, making it 2-1 (2nd goal for FC Copenhagen). Copenhagen almost secured a win, but Leverkusen managed to snatch a point in injury time.
The draw in the UEFA Champions League opener was secured by Leverkusen's set-piece specialist Grimaldo and an individual action from Echeverri. The next matchday promises to be an exciting one as both teams look to build on their performances.
