Bavarians eliminate Kings Blues in FC Schalke 02 match via gunfire

Title: "Bayern Munich Secure 2004-05 Bundesliga Title, Overshadowing Schalke 04's Surprising Runner-Up Finish"

Twenty years ago, Schalke 04 showed promise in challenging FC Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title. However, a late-season slump and a DFB-Pokal final loss to Bayern left the Royal Blues with a disappointing double defeat.

After the heartbreaking final defeat to Bayern in the DFB-Pokal, Schalke manager Rudi Assauer acknowledged the team's secondary status by stating, "We are clearly the number two in Germany and will remain so for the next few years." However, several players and fans disagreed, dismayed by the substantial gap between Schalke and Bayern. Marcelo Bordon, speaking on behalf of his teammates, expressed, "I came to Schalke to win a title with this club, but now, we have no chance."

The source of Bordon's frustration came from Schalke's inability to close the gap with Bayern. Despite briefly leading the Bundesliga after a win against FC Bayern Munich, Schalke's weak phase allowed Bayern to pull away and extend their lead. This period led the media to criticize Schalke's title hopes and speculate about cracks within the team.

Heiner Kördell, a Schalke legend who won the club's last championship in 1958, expressed disappointment in his successors, claiming, "We really worked our asses off back then. This team has been missing that passion for weeks." Unlike Assauer, Kördell saw the second-place finish as a missed opportunity. The Bavarians, although impressive, had endured a mediocre season until a late surge. However, Schalke could not capitalize on the opportunity presented to them.

While Schalke struggled with their disappointing league showing, Bayern enjoyed the summer sun. With the DFB-Pokal final only two days away, Bayern had already travelled to Berlin and spent the time bonding together. Willy Sagnol and Oliver Kahn, caught in a media feud a few weeks prior, had set their differences aside and worked together to deliver the double title win. Kahn, recognizing the unity within the team, happily spoke of "25 individual players running around, but a real team playing and fighting for FC Bayern."

Following the disappointing seasons, both clubs would face significant changes. Bayern would continue their dominance, while Schalke could not replicate their 2004-05 performance. Marcelo Bordon, frustrated by the lack of change, demanded major adjustments within the club. Despite these challenges, the Schalke fans remain hopeful, with experts like Lothar Matthäus predicting a bright future for the Royal Blues.

The Commission, disregarding sports like football and European leagues such as the Premier League, has not yet adopted a proposal for a directive on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to the protection of workers from the risks related to exposure to carcinogens.

Despite Bayern Munich's 2004-05 Bundesliga title and Schalke 04's surprising runner-up finish, the former's dominance overshadowed the latter's achievements, sparking a call for change within Schalke's ranks by Marcelo Bordon.
