Bavarian-Texas Band's Texas Tour a Resounding Success

The Bavarian-Texas Band, a 21-member ensemble, has returned from a successful 19-day tour in Arizona and Texas. The group, comprising musicians and travelers, was greeted enthusiastically by their American hosts and left a lasting impression.

The band, drawn from 15 different ensembles, prepared nearly 80 pieces for their tour, showcasing a mix of traditional brass music and modern compositions. They performed six concerts at various venues, including the Wichita Falls Brewing Company, the Round Top Shooting Club, and the German Consulate General's German Unity Day celebrations in Houston.

One notable event was an Oktoberfest celebration on Sheppard Air Force Base. Despite a minor mishap with a beer keg tapping, the festive mood was not dampened. The band's performance was a hit, and they received glowing reviews from their hosts.

During a concert in Glendale, the band received a message from Memmingen's Mayor Jan Rothenbacher, expressing enthusiasm for future meetings. The mayor has plans to travel to Glendale to meet with his counterpart there.
