Basketball Tournament at Sportpalast: Mittelschule Luitpoldpark Takes Top Spot

The Basketball Community Kamp-Lintfort 1954 e.V. hosted a thrilling basketball tournament at the Sportpalast. The event was a resounding success, drawing an enthusiastic audience of parents and fellow students.

Peter Saffert, the mini and girls' coach, led the event, which saw young helpers from the Basketball Community Kamp-Lintfort providing assistance. The tournament featured teams from various local schools, including the Mittelschule Luitpoldpark, which emerged victorious.

Each school entered three mixed teams, competing in their respective school colors. The participating schools were backed by NBA team names, with the Ebertschule, Ernst-Reuter-Schule, Grundschule am Niersenberg, and Grundschule am Pappelsee fielding teams. The Sportpalast sponsored a basketball for each starting team and a certificate for every participant.

The basketball game meeting was a fantastic advertisement for the sport, with the results reflecting the competitive spirit: 1st place went to the Mavericks from GS am Niersenberg, followed by the Suns from GS am Pappelsee in second, and the Nets from Ernst-Reuter-Schule in third.
