Basketball Teams from Crusader High School Secure Wins in a Doubleheader Celebrating Purple Day
Holy Cross Basketball Shines in Recent Games
The Holy Cross Men's and Women's Basketball teams have been making headlines at the Hart Center with their impressive performances in the past few games.
Last Wednesday, the Women's team secured a victory against Boston University with a score of 60-47. Meg Cahalan netted a career-high 25 points and added 5 rebounds in the game, while Lindsay Berger contributed 12 points and 4 blocks. The win marked the Women's team's third straight victory and their fifth place finish in the Patriot League's regular season. As they head into the semi-finals of the Patriot League Conference Tournament, they are aiming for their third straight title.
The Men's team also triumphed against Boston University, recording a 72-52 win in the Winter Homecoming game. The victory marked the Men's team's largest win against a Division 1 team this season. Max Green, a freshman, contributed a team-high 18 points, while Deandre Williams and Caleb Kenney added 16 and 12 points, respectively. The Men's team held Boston University to a poor 35% field goal percentage, demonstrating their defensive prowess.
