Caitlin Clark's Nike Signature Sneaker Set for Spring 2026 Launch

Caitlin Clark, the promising young star of the WNBA, is set to make a mark off the court with the upcoming release of her signature sneaker. The Nike Kobe 5 Protro "Rookie of the Year" colorway, scheduled to launch in Spring 2026, will retail for $190 in adult sizes and be available on the Nike SNKRS app and select retailers.

This sneaker is a celebration of Clark's historic rookie season and her WNBA Rookie of the Year award. The shoe features a metallic silver and university red color scheme, inspired by the colours of the Indiana Fever, and a photo of Clark holding the award. Although Clark debuted the shoe on-court earlier, it was initially a player exclusive before being confirmed for retail release next spring.

Clark has worn multiple player-exclusive (PE) colorways of Nike shoes, including the Nike Kobe 5 Protro "Indiana Fever." The Kobe 5 colorway is the closest available product marking her milestone so far. If Diana Taurasi's prediction comes true, Clark's name will soon be on store shelves worldwide.

The commercial appeal and fan following of Caitlin Clark suggest her signature line could be among the most lucrative in women's sports history. In 2024, Clark signed an eight-year, $28 million endorsement deal with Nike, a record for a WNBA player. The Wall Street Journal called this sponsorship deal the richest in WNBA history.

Meanwhile, other WNBA stars have also launched successful signature lines. Sabrina Ionescu's Nike Sabrina line was released in 2023, and A'ja Wilson debuted her Nike A'One "Pink A'ura" in February, with the launch selling out almost immediately.

Despite multiple injuries this season, Clark continues to draw significant national attention and high ticket demand for Fever games. However, her fellow young star, Angel Reese, is currently recovering from a back injury with no timetable for recovery.

As Clark's career progresses, it's clear that she is not only influencing the game but also the marketplace. She is positioned to join an elite group of athletes who have both on-court and off-court impact. The next generation of basketball fans may have Clark's shoes on their feet, and it's an exciting time to be a fan of women's basketball.
