Holy Cross Basketball Teams Secure Impressive Wins Against Boston University

The Holy Cross Men's and Women's Basketball teams put on a show last week, securing impressive victories against Boston University at the Hart Center.

The Men's Basketball team, with March and potential playoffs on the horizon, recorded a significant 72-52 win against BU. This victory marks the largest win against a Division 1 team this season for the team. In the game, freshman Max Green led the way with a team-high 18 points, while the team held Boston University to a poor 35% field goal percentage.

Across town, the Women's Basketball team also emerged victorious, with a score of 60-47. Meg Cahalan, a player on the team, netted a career-high 25 points, and Lindsay Berger added 12 points and 4 blocks. The Women's team finished the regular season with a record of 18-11 overall and 11-7 in the Patriot League, culminating in a fifth place finish.

The Men's team will face Army this weekend, while the Women's team is headed into the semi-finals of the Patriot League Conference Tournament on Thursday.

The audience at the Men's Basketball Winter Homecoming game against BU was a sea of purple, as Holy Cross provided purple T-shirts for every seat and gave out multiple 55" TVs for students in attendance. President Rougeau, along with hundreds of students, athletic alumni, attended the doubleheader.
