Basketball Players Aim for Harmonious Flow: Quest for Adequate Timing in Play

The German basketball team is gearing up for the Supercup and the EuroBasket, with the final round set to take place in Riga. However, the team's preparations have been hit by a setback as David Kramer, a key player, has been ruled out of the EuroBasket due to a muscle injury.

Kramer, a newcomer at Real Madrid and a three-point specialist for the German team, picked up an adductor injury and will not be able to participate in the EuroBasket. His club has blocked his release to join the national team to ensure his recovery. This news was confirmed by the German Basketball Federation and coach Alex Mumbru, who described it as a "bitter blow" as Kramer was expected to be a significant contributor. He was set for his EuroBasket debut and had strong qualifying statistics, averaging 15.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.

As for the Supercup, there are no specific injury reports or updates available regarding the availability or injury status of Oscar da Silva, Johannes Voigtmann, or Christian Anderson. The status of these players remains unreported or without any noted injuries as of the latest updates.

Despite the bumpy preparation, the team remains calm and optimistic. Mumbru aims for a full 40 minutes against Turkey in the first game, scheduled for Friday at 6:00 PM. The team's focus is on the team itself, not the potential Supercup final against Serbia and Nikola Jokic.

The second game for the German team will be against either Serbia or the Czech Republic on Saturday. Center Daniel Theis, with his long-standing NBA experience, is expected to play a significant role. Maodo Lo and Daniel Theis, who were previously rested, are likely to make their first appearance this summer in Munich for the German team.

After the Supercup, the team has two test games against title defender Spain scheduled. Christian Anderson, who has been out due to a hip bone contusion, should be back for these upcoming games. Oscar da Silva and Johannes Voigtmann are still struggling with the aftereffects of a virus, but Mumbru hopes they will be available for the upcoming games.

The German Basketball Federation's selection will face Montenegro on August 27 in Tampere. The team aims to play for the title at the European Championship. Mumbru warns against underestimating Turkey, the semi-final opponent, and will only decide shortly before the Turkey game which squad he can rely on. The games against Turkey on Friday and either Serbia or the Czech Republic on Saturday are causing tension for the German team, as the personnel situation remains uncertain.
