Baseball Team, Chicago Bulls, to Resurrect Striped Uniforms for 2025-26 Campaign
The Chicago Bulls have announced the return of their black pinstripe uniforms for the upcoming 2025-26 season. These iconic jerseys, last worn by the team in the 2012-13 season, will make a comeback as Statement Edition uniforms.
The Bulls first donned these black jerseys with red pinstripes in the 1995-96 season, a year that saw them set a record of 72 wins and claim the NBA championship. The pinstripe design was also worn in the 1996-97, 2007-08, and 2012-13 seasons, but had not been used since 2013 until the recent revival.
Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman, who played in these uniforms during the Bulls' championship runs, participated in the announcement and called the uniform "legendary." The team will wear these jerseys on select Statement Edition game nights during the upcoming season.
The white piping along the neckline and armholes of the jersey has been replaced with black, and the stars from the Chicago flag appear on the waistband of the new pinstripe shorts. The Statement Edition retail collection for the new uniforms will be available to purchase beginning October 15.
The Bulls last won a playoff series in the 2014-15 season, and their last NBA championship was in 1998. The team's legendary players, such as Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman, won six titles together across two different three-peats in the '90s while wearing the pinstripe jerseys.
The announcement of the return of the pinstripe jerseys was made on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, through the Chicago Bulls' official Twitter account. The new uniforms will be on display during Bulls Fest later this month at the United Center. The 2025-26 season tips off on October 21.
