Milwaukee Brewers Shuffle Pitching Staff Ahead of Series with New York Mets

The Milwaukee Brewers have made several changes to their pitching staff in preparation for their weekend series against the New York Mets.

RHP Tobias Myers has been recalled from Triple-A Nashville to fill in for the injured Logan Henderson. Henderson, who was placed on the 15-day injured list due to a right elbow inflammation, had initially been replaced by Jacob Misiorowski after a tibia injury. However, both Henderson and Misiorowski are currently on the IL.

Myers, who last started a game on May 17, will make his first start since then in Game Two against the Mets. It is unclear how long Henderson will be out, but he is not expected back until late September or early October, around the end of the regular season.

The Brewers are hopeful that Misiorowski could return to the rotation as early as August 15. His return could potentially reduce the need for extended starts from Myers. Additionally, the Brewers have activated RHP Shelby Miller from the 15-day IL to strengthen their bullpen.

Brandon Woodruff is set to be the starting pitcher for the Brewers on Friday at 7:10 p.m. against the Mets. Quinn Priester is the projected Sunday starter for the series.

In other news, LHP Robert Gasser has been sent back to Triple-A Nashville on a rehab assignment.

The Brewers are looking forward to their weekend series against the Mets, with Myers set to make his first start in months. The team is managing their pitching staff to handle Henderson's absence, with the possibility of Misiorowski's return and the reinforcements of Miller in the bullpen.

Henderson has a career record of 3 wins and 0 losses in the MLB, and a 1.78 ERA. His absence will be felt, but the Brewers are confident in their ability to adapt and compete.

The upcoming baseball series against the New York Mets presents an opportunity for RHP Tobias Myers to make his first start since May, as he steps in to fill Henderson's gap due to his elbow inflammation. The Brewers are also hoping to incorporate baseball back into the rotation as early as August 15, with Jacob Misiorowski potentially returning from injury.
