Barclays Arena to Host Double Performance by Artist Towers

The Veolia Towers Hamburg, a prominent basketball club in the Basketball Bundesliga, are set to make a big move this season. After previously hosting FC Bayern Munich in the Barclays Arena, they are now preparing to call the large arena their temporary home.

The Veolia Towers Hamburg have shown their ability to attract large crowds, setting a record for basketball games in Hamburg each time they hosted FC Bayern Munich, with 12,000 fans in attendance. This impressive turnout has sparked the club's ambition to attract similar crowds for games against opponents other than FC Bayern Munich.

The club's first game in the Barclays Arena will be against Alba Berlin, the 2022 double winners, on December 14th at 3 PM. This will be followed by another match against the reigning cup winners, Syntainics MBC from Weißenfels, on September 28th at 3 PM. Tickets for these first competitive games will go on sale this Monday in their online shop.

In addition to these two games, the Veolia Towers Hamburg will also play twice in the Barclays Arena during the season. However, it's important to note that playing in the largest arena in Hamburg is only profitable for the club when there are 8000 spectators or more.

Club founder and sports director Marvin Willoughby has stated that moving large masses for a one-off event is not a given. The club aims to build on their positive experiences from hosting FC Bayern Munich and make the transition to the larger arena a success.

The Veolia Towers Hamburg are gearing up for their seventh season in the Basketball Bundesliga and will make their EuroCup debut against Hapoel Jerusalem on September 30th at 7:30 PM.

While details for the Veolia Towers Hamburg's full schedule for the 2022-2023 season are not yet available, they are set to face the BMA365 Baskets Bamberg in a cup duel at home on September 24th at 8 PM.

As the Veolia Towers Hamburg prepare to take the stage in the Barclays Arena, fans are eagerly awaiting the start of the new season and the opportunity to support their team in what promises to be an exciting and historic season.

The Veolia Towers Hamburg, aiming to replicate their record-breaking crowd turnouts, have scheduled games against notable opponents, including Alba Berlin and Syntainics MBC, in the Barclays Arena. Seeking to make their transition to the larger arena successful, the club anticipates at least 8000 spectators to ensure profitability.
