Barcelona mulls over potential acquisition of Roma's forward player

Argentine forward Paulo Dybala's representatives have reportedly offered his services to Spanish giants FC Barcelona, according to Diario Sport. The 30-year-old player's agents have drawn attention to a clause in Dybala's contract with AS Roma, which stipulates a buyout fee of €12 million for foreign clubs, valid until July 31 of this year.

Barcelona is yet to prioritize a move for Dybala, but the relatively low transfer fee and his salary within their permitted range have piqued their interest. The deal might hinge on the future of Portuguese forward João Félix, currently on loan at Barcelona from Atlético Madrid. If Barcelona fails to reach an agreement with Atlético Madrid for an extension of Félix's stay, they are poised to pursue Dybala.

Dybala joined AS Roma in July 2022, signing a free agent deal from Juventus, with the contract running until the summer of 2025. In the ongoing season, he has played 26 matches for The Wolves, scoring 13 goals and providing 7 assists.

It should be noted that Dybala recently extended his contract with AS Roma until 2026 [4]. This development could suggest that Dybala is committed to Roma and not involved in any publicly disclosed transfer talks with Barcelona. As for João Félix, there have been no recent updates linking him directly to Barcelona or involving Barcelona in any negotiations with Atlético Madrid. Barcelona is also reportedly engaged in transfer negotiations with AS Monaco regarding Ansu Fati, a loan move with an option to buy [2], but there is no information linking this to any potential transfers involving Paulo Dybala or João Félix.

Barcelona's interest in signing Paulo Dybala, the Argentine forward currently playing for AS Roma, has been hinted due to a potential low transfer fee and his salary fitting within their budget. European leagues, including Spain's LaLiga, where Barcelona competes, could see a potential shift if Barcelona decides to act upon this interest, especially considering Dybala's impressive performance this season, scoring 13 goals and providing 7 assists.
