Barbon made these comments during a press conference following the Council of Government, after counselor Ovidio Zapico announced yesterday that the maximum governing body of IU-Convocatoria por Asturias has been convened to analyze the changes in the Government declared by Barbon.
Zapico confirmed that the appointment of Nieves Roqueñi as president of the port of Gijon and of Belarmina Díaz to head the Industry, Ecological Transition and Trade Council will be reviewed "calmly" by IU.

"We won't accept an agreement that doesn't exist. That's it. And I say this with the utmost respect for the political positions each one wishes to hold. But what we have indeed deepened and agreed on is to deepen the Asturian fiscal path, repeat, to analyze our tax system to make it more progressive," Barbon insisted.
Once more, the Asturian president defended that he considers Nieves Roqueñi "will be a terrific President of the Authority" and defended that as a substitute, he believes he has chosen the best possible replacement, which is Belarmina Díaz.
