Title: A Roofing Master's Controversial Ad Sparks Fury in Sebnitz

A local roofer from Sebnitz has set fire to the town's tranquility with a racially charged and anti-Semitic job ad. In the town's newspaper, the roofer is searching for apprentices but, in his words, the positions are off-limits to "beaks," "dumb bimbos," and "blimp pilots."

The ad sees the roofer expressing gratitude to his customers and partners for their loyalty and trust. He also extends an opportunity for an apprenticeship within his company.

Sebnitz: Stunned and Indignant

The city of Sebnitz has distanced itself from the inflammatory ad. Via a Facebook post, they expressed shock and are working to address the situation. The city only oversees the editorial section of the paper, while the publisher controls the ad section.

In a statement, they declared, "Reading something like this is repugnant and intolerable. We strongly denounce the phrases used in the personal ad and condemn the hate-filled ideology behind it. Incitement, anti-Semitism, and xenophobia have no part in our city and are unequivocally rejected."

Ad Triggers an Uproar

The Left party in the Saxon Switzerland-Osterzgebirge district has rebuked the bigoted ad by Ronney W. in the "Neues Grenzblatt" newspaper on April 16, 2025, with unwavering severity. The district chairwoman of the Left party SOE, Lisa Thea Steiner, argues, "The ad, cloaked as a company anniversary celebration, employs language steeped in Nazi connotations and unmistakably incites ill-will. To see such words in a public publication is a perplexing event and a call to arms against the surge of racism."

"Anyone who uses 'beaks' and 'dumb bimbos' steers clear of every civilized compromise. The mere thought of such words appearing in an official publication is appalling. Racism and anti-Semitism are not mere opinions - they are a crime," Steiner continues.

The Left party is organizing a rally on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 10:00 AM on Sebnitz's market square.

Peter Brettschneider, the local chairman of the Left party in Sebnitz, adds, "If anti-Semitism and racist hate speech are seen as acceptable in public, we will stand up - loud, visible, and united. On Monday, we'll be numerous! Join us at the rally on the market and show: Sebnitz is not a haven for bigots!"

The Left party is also demanding a thorough investigation of the editorial department of the official gazette and a public apology from the city to the affected individuals.

According to recent data, the legal proceedings against the ad's author and the publisher have been dropped as of June 20, 2025[1].
