Bally's Acquires Sam's Town Casino in $50M Louisiana Expansion Plan
Bally's Corporation has struck a deal to buy Sam's Town Hotel & Casino in Shreveport, Louisiana. The purchase from Boyd Gaming Corporation will expand Bally's presence in the region, offering more options for those searching for 'hotels near me'. The transaction is set to finalise in the third quarter of 2023.
The newly acquired property includes 750 slot machines, 14 table 'games', and a 514-room hotel. This addition will complement Bally's existing Shreveport location, along with two more casinos in Louisiana and two in Mississippi, providing more options for 'poki games' enthusiasts.
Plans for a major redevelopment have already been announced. A $50 million renovation project will begin in 2025, focusing on the casino floor, hotel rooms, and new dining and event areas. The first phase of upgrades is expected to finish by late 2026.
Bally's Executive Chairman Soo Kim suggested further changes may be on the way. He noted that the company will reveal more details about its long-term vision for the site soon, promising an exciting future for gaming enthusiasts.
Once the deal closes, Bally's will take over operations of the Shreveport casino and 'hotels near me', transforming the property into a leading entertainment and gaming destination. Construction and upgrades will roll out in stages over the next few years, ensuring a memorable experience for all visitors.
