Bajaj Auto reduces product prices in accordance with the complete GST cut, a move made ahead of the festive season.
The Indian government's recent decision to revise the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on two- and three-wheelers has brought a wave of excitement to the industry. The move is expected to make popular models from Bajaj Auto and KTM more affordable, offering savings of up to ₹24,000 on certain models.
This GST reduction is not just providing more affordable rides but also a chance to celebrate the festive season with lower ownership costs. Two- and three-wheeler mobility is integral to India's mobility landscape, and this move is expected to boost consumer sentiment and spur demand in the market.
Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director of Bajaj Auto Ltd., has welcomed the government's decision. At Bajaj Auto Ltd, they are delighted to support the initiative. Among the models that will see a price drop are the Bajaj Pulsar N125, priced at ₹94,707, offering 58 kmpl mileage, and the Bajaj Freedom, priced at ₹90,272, offering 65 kmpl mileage. The upcoming Bajaj Avenger 400, expected to be priced at ₹ 1.50 Lakhs, boasts a 373.0 cc engine and offers 28.0 kmpl mileage.
However, the revision does not apply to all motorcycle models. Motorcycle models such as Yamaha XT-660R/X, XT-660Z, Tenere 700, XT-1200Z, and various enduro motorcycles are affected by higher GST tax rates. Similarly, the prices of the Scrambler 400, Speed T4, Speed 400, and Thruxton 400 will go up. The Bajaj Dominar 400 and Pulsar NS400Z will also be affected by the higher GST, with the Dominar 400 priced at ₹ 2.33 Lakhs and offering 27 kmpl mileage.
The KTMs range starting from the 390 motorcycles will also be hit with the higher GST rate. Interestingly, the GST reduction for most two-wheelers and three-wheelers is expected to give a strong push to the industry, lifting consumer sentiment and adding to the festive cheer. The revision on motorcycles offers savings of up to ₹20,000, making it an opportune time for potential buyers to consider their next ride.
The GST reduction is expected to boost consumer sentiment and spur demand in the two- and three-wheeler market, making it an exciting time for both manufacturers and consumers alike. With the festive season around the corner, this move is expected to bring more smiles to Indian roads.
