Water Bath
- 8 cups water (1.9 kg)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
Instructions
Red Teig
- Mix warm water and red food coloring until the color is evenly distributed.
- Sprinkle instant yeast over the water and stir.
- Add brown sugar, all-purpose flour, and kosher salt, stirring until a ball forms.
- Knead for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
- Set aside and repeat the process for the remaining colors.
- Once you have all the colored doughs, let them rest for 10 minutes.
Mixing the Colors
- Place the violet dough on a lightly floured surface.
- Roll out the violet dough into a 20 x 15 cm rectangle.
- Roll out the blue dough to a similar size and place it on top of the violet dough, aligning the edges.
- Repeat this process with the green, yellow, orange, and red doughs, keeping the edges aligned.
- Press gently to make sure the layers stick together.
- Cut the rectangle into 6 equal strips, each 2.5 cm wide.
- Create a circular shape by rolling each strip back and forth with your fingers.
- Plait the strands and join the ends together to form a bagel.
- Repeat this process with the remaining dough.

- Bring 8 cups of water to a boil.
- Mix baking powder and all-purpose flour in a small bowl.
