Babett Lesecafé: A Cultural Haven for Relaxation and Exchange

Babett Lesecafé, a haven of relaxation and culture, has opened its doors. Named after publicist and resistance fighter Babette Gross, the café offers coffee, cake, and a selection of books and magazines. It's conveniently located near public transport, including S-Bahn, bus, and regional train stations.

The café combines fair enjoyment with political and cultural openness. It's a place where people can enjoy a cup of coffee while browsing through a variety of books and magazines. The Babett Gallery next door regularly hosts changing exhibitions, adding to the cultural vibrancy of the space.

Recently, the café played host to the annual language competition on March 29, 2025, at the Goethe-Institut Namibia. This event, supported by the German-Namibian Society, fostered cultural and educational engagement between Germany and Namibia.

Babett Lesecafé is more than just a café; it's a hub for cultural exchange and relaxation. With its convenient location, fair practices, and cultural offerings, it's a welcoming space for all. The annual language competition is just one example of the café's commitment to fostering international connections.
