Babar Azam ends 83-inning ODI century drought in style against Sri Lanka

Pakistan's Babar Azam scored his 20th ODI century on Friday, ending a long wait for a three-figure score in this format. His century was also his 32nd in international cricket. Azam's century came after 83 innings without a hundred in ODIs, a drought similar to that faced by Virat Kohli in 2022. The Pakistani skipper's last Test century remains unknown, as recent search results only document his ODI century against Sri Lanka on November 14, 2025. Azam's century was his ninth in Tests and third in T20Is. He celebrated with relief and joy, much like Virat Kohli did when he ended his own century drought in 2022.
