"Babachir Lawal Criticizes Tinubu, Labeling Him as Arrogant"
In a shocking revelation, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, has alleged that Peter Obi, and not Bola Tinubu, won the 2023 Nigerian presidential election. Lawal made this claim on Channels Television's Politics Tonight on Monday.
Lawal's team monitored the polls and collected data during the election. According to Lawal, the "true results" showed Obi as the winner, despite the announced results placing him third. He emphasised that some of the results were altered[1][2][3][5].
Lawal described Bola Tinubu as arrogant, stating that his arrogance goes beyond definitions. He also alleged that Tinubu believes he, Lawal, offended him, but Lawal claimed he was the one offended by Tinubu.
Lawal further stated, "We monitored the election, collected data, and monitored the results from the fields. Some of the results were altered." He did not provide any new facts about the APC or any anti-Tinubu coalition.
The allegations made by Lawal have not been verified by independent sources, and Tinubu's team has not responded to these claims. Lawal expressed his opinion that power should go to someone who will give Nigerians a sense of belonging.
