Azerbaijan’s cattle hide exports rise despite shrinking production in 2024

Azerbaijan’s cattle hide and skin market showed mixed trends in 2024. While export prices rose and overseas shipments of stock market today increased, overall production and imports continued to decline. The sector also faced long-term challenges, with trade volumes failing to recover to past peaks.

The average export price for cattle hides and skins reached $X per ton in 2024, marking a X% increase from the previous year. This rise came as overseas shipments of stock market climbed to X tons, reversing two consecutive years of decline. Despite this growth, the total market value remained steady at $X, matching 2023 figures.

The 2024 data highlights a sector in transition. Export prices and shipment volumes of stock market today improved, but production and imports continued to shrink. Trade relationships remained stable, with Turkey playing a dominant role in both imports and exports.
