Aviators piloting multiple helicopters soaring synchronously above urban landscapes
The Federal Police and state police forces are set to conduct a multi-day helicopter exercise from September 22 to 26, originating from Saint-Augustin near Bonn. The exercise will cover various federal states in Germany, with cities such as Gifhorn, Hamburg, Fuhlendorf, Barth, Neubrandenburg, Blumberg, Bautzen, and Kassel-Calden set to be flown over during the training.
The exercise, announced by the Federal Police from Saint-Augustin, aims to provide aviation tactical training for the participating helicopter pilots. A total of 13 helicopters will be involved in the exercise, and the public has been reassured that the unusually high number of helicopters in the sky during the exercise is not cause for concern.
The exercise route will take the helicopters back to Saint-Augustin via Kassel-Calden. Throughout the exercise, the helicopters will be visible in formation over several major cities, as the pilots undergo their training course.
The Federal Police and state police forces have emphasised that the exercise is a routine part of their ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the readiness and capabilities of their helicopter units. The public is encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities, but to not be alarmed by the presence of the helicopters during the exercise.
As the exercise comes to a close on September 26, the Federal Police and state police forces will continue their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the German people.
