Avianca Launches High-Speed Inflight Wi-Fi and Luxury Business Class Upgrades
Avianca is rolling out new inflight Wi-Fi and upgrading its business class service. The airline has partnered with SES to bring connectivity to its Airbus A320 Family fleet. Passengers can now access the internet on 10 twinjets through the ‘Avianca On Air’ portal.
Avianca has installed SES’s multi-orbit inflight Wi-Fi system on its Airbus A320 aircraft. The technology uses Gilat’s Stellar Blu antenna to connect via SES’s geostationary satellites and Eutelsat OneWeb’s Low Earth Orbit network. Passengers can choose from paid Wi-Fi packages and access premium content through the ‘Avianca On Air’ entertainment portal.
Avianca’s $800 million investment is delivering faster inflight internet and improved business class services. The Wi-Fi rollout begins with 10 A320 aircraft, while the new premium cabin launches in early 2026. These changes aim to enhance travel for millions of passengers across Latin America.
