Law enforcement thwarted an attack on the AfD's display area.

Averted an attack on the AfD stand by authorities.

In the heart of Bremen, Germany, tensions rose on Saturday as a counter-protest against the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party and an incident involving party posters led to confrontations.

The day began with the AfD setting up an information booth at Bremen-Walle train station. Meanwhile, unknown individuals took it upon themselves to express their opposition, writing slogans like "Nazis out" and "AFD stinks" in spray paint on the sidewalk.

As the day progressed, posters with the message "No room for right-wing hate, solidarity instead of fascism" were put up over an underpass. However, deployment forces soon removed these banners.

The counter-protest, which attracted up to 150 participants, took place near the AfD information booth. Traffic disruptions occurred in the area of Waller Ring/Waller Heerstraße and Osterfeuerberger Ring/Ratzeburger Straße due to the events.

The police monitored both events and prevented a sudden attack by masked individuals on the information stand. Shortly after, a group of up to 30 masked individuals ran towards the party stand, but the police prevented a confrontation and further escalation. Remarkably, these masked individuals later joined the counter-protest, changed clothes, and removed their masks.

No injuries were reported during the incident. The offenses from the events were documented, and a criminal complaint was filed under the assembly law.
